Do you know that a simple ball of wool can change a day?
Since 2012, Gomitolorosa has been recovering excess Italian wool, transforming it into yarns that color the oncology departments of over thirty Italian hospitals. Instead of being disposed of as waste, this wool becomes the heart of wool therapy projects, especially for those facing female cancers such as breast or ovarian cancer. Knitting thus becomes a therapeutic gesture: it reduces anxiety, brings relief and transforms long waits into moments of creativity and hope.
