    ASSOCIAZIONE AD MAIORA

The AD MAIORA Association is made up of around a hundred members who, with passion and creativity, carry forward a cultural message of eco-sustainability and social solidarity through group efforts. "Together we can!" This is the motto of the AD MAIORA Cultural Association, which, for over 20 years, has been promoting craftsmanship and creativity through education and training in textile art and patchwork techniques. In the footsteps of female arts, experiencing a rediscovery that blends with present-day themes, AD MAIORA promotes cultural and educational events, using its own financial resources.

The Association has been involved in significant social activities in various fields: welcoming and inclusion, well-being and care for the sick, raising awareness against violence towards women, supporting and assisting developing countries, social redemption, cultural activities, and the social world.

Since 2011, the Association has been organizing Verona Tessile, a biennial event that has become a reference point for patchwork, sewing, fabric, and textile art enthusiasts.

      ASSOCIAZIONE CASA PATCHWORK E QUILTING

The group of friends from the "Casa Patchwork & Quilting" Association in Bassano del Grappa meets every week to assemble patchwork tiles using various techniques with needle and thread. They use both classic traditional patterns and contemporary variations, which they later combine into quilts, making them unique and original thanks to the variety of fabrics used.

Quilts tell a lot about us: memories, fragments of travel, and personal experiences, each one deciding to give voice to them through fabrics! During Abilmente, we will be holding workshops on patchwork applications to introduce people to this hobby that is good for the heart and mind.

The group is actively engaged in promoting and disseminating female handiwork, particularly the patchwork sewing technique, within the local community.

The Association collaborates with various entities in the area, particularly with the neonatology department of San Bortolo Hospital in Vicenza, to donate blankets and small recreational items for hospitalized children. With the support of the Municipality of Vicenza, they also organize an annual exhibition to spread awareness of patchwork in the region.

For several years, they have been participating in Abilmente alongside other Venetian Associations, showcasing the works of their members and organizing courses aimed at introducing people to this technique.

The "Passione Patchwork" Association in Padua brings together a group of women passionate about patchwork quilting and needlework, creating both classic and contemporary handicrafts. These techniques serve as unifying elements, promoting sharing, and mutual growth.

The strengths of the Association lie in the diverse skills of its members, which in the last two years have been showcased through online teaching of techniques such as embroidery, knitting, crocheting, cartonnage, and creating home decor items.

            ASSOCIAZIONE PATCHWORK IDEA

Since 1995, we have been meeting on a weekly basis to share our passion: patchwork. In a serene and convivial spirit, we exchange knowledge, books, and magazines, organize courses, outings, and trips to the most interesting events in the field, both in Italy and abroad. Annually, we hold an exhibition at Cà da Noal, a prestigious museum owned by the Municipality of Treviso, where the works of our members are displayed. During the exhibition, we organize cultural events where patchwork meets other forms of art. Our association is non-profit and is funded through membership fees. If you want to get to know us, join our association, or need more information, please contact us or visit our website.

              Nicoletta Furlan
My name is Nicoletta Furlan, and I am a creative individual. My work and my greatest passion revolve around creating original and unique women's clothing. Over the years, I have participated in several exhibitions, including "Dressed in Patchwork" at the "Abilmente" fair in Vicenza, and I have also taken part in fashion shows. I design, draw, create, and make all my pieces myself. Everything I create always has something special because I love playing with materials and fabrics. One of my initial trends in this field was patchwork, then I delved into the oriental style, and finally, I became fascinated with geometric lines. Today, I draw inspiration from my surroundings, utilize techniques I have learned over the years, and strive to blend all these different approaches together.

                Ilaria Quadranti

My name is Ilaria Quadranti and I am a teacher of Plastic Arts. I have always been passionate about the textile world, manual skills and all the techniques that can be developed in this area. I love traditional and expressive - creative embroidery, hand sewing and I have a weakness for calligraphy and paper, which I often integrate into my works. The Art of Shining offers laboratories and workshops suitable for all ages: a PHOTOGRAPH or a WORD are often the starting point in the creation of unparalleled textile works where EMOTION, COLOR and DIFFERENT MATERIALS communicate with each other making mistakes or judgment impossible : participants experience only pleasure and fun in creating, with their own hands, something unrepeatable.
