Arte dell'Assurdo
Arte dell’Assurdo is a non-profit association that promotes artistic and cultural events with a strong social impact. Among these initiatives are the International Street Artists Festival “Famille De La Rue” and Intrecci-AMO-ci, a yarn bombing project that involved the entire city of Mantua, with the participation of schools, associations, nursing homes, and centers dedicated to people with disabilities and patients with Alzheimer’s disease.
Yarn bombing is a gentle, colorful, and peaceful form of urban art: knitted, crocheted, or loom-woven yarns that dress public spaces and everyday objects, leaving traces of handcrafted beauty along the way. A way of saying that creativity, when shared, can truly embrace everyone.
