Together with Gomitolorosa, we will talk about mental health while knitting or crocheting wool hats that will be donated in celebration of World Mental Health Day on 10 October.
This community knitting initiative aims to raise awareness and help break the stigma that still surrounds mental health, while encouraging institutions to recognize the importance of psychological well-being, prevention, and greater support for mental health programmes and initiatives.
It will also be an opportunity to learn a new technique and share conversations about solidarity, mental well-being, and environmental awareness—one stitch at a time.

At the Le Officine Creative di Villa Giuseppina stand, you can preview the exhibition Umanizzazione della Cura – La creatività come linguaggio della relazione e dell’inclusione, a visual journey showcasing shared artistic experiences developed within rehabilitation programmes.
Alongside the exhibition, you will have the opportunity to take part in a creative workshop and discover how art and making by hand can become powerful tools for connection, collaboration and shared experiences.
This special event at Abilmente Rome is a preview of the scientific conference Umanizzazione della Cura – Salute mentale, comunicazione e costruzione di comunità, which will take place on October 9, 2026 at Villa Giuseppina in Rome.

Centostorie is a cooperative from Rome run by three women, managing three projects: a children’s bookstore, Cleio, a network of independent bookstores for children, and a bookstore specializing in picture books and fiction for ages 0–10.
